"After over 20 years working in Construction, initially as a Quantity Surveyor and latterly as a Director of a Regional Contractor and Sub-Contractor, I always found myself short of a good quality and reliable support and advice when I needed it.
This inspired me to re-educate myself and to move into Consultancy, helping others by offering expert Legal, Contractual and Project Advice..."

more About us
We are a small but dedicated team of Construction Lawyers, Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors. Between us we cover the whole of the UK from our Southern Office in London and our Northern Office in Manchester.
We pride ourselves on our knowledge and experience which means that we cover all of your bases. In addition, we can call upon other specialists (who we work with on a regular basis) to assist as and when required.
Whether you are a sole trader or a large national firm, our aim is to build a long lasting business relationship with you. We understand that the Construction and Engineering industries are dynamic and fast paced and we need to be able to react to your instructions promptly and provide the advice just when you need it.
We believe that our experience and understanding of both Construction and Engineering sets us apart from others. It helps us to fully understand the issues and problems you face which negatively impact your business, allowing us to offer the sound advice that you need at a cost that you can afford.
We work to the standards laid down by professional organisations including the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), in addition we are members of the Society of Construction Law and the Law Society.

How do you cover the UK from only two offices..?
What if you are acting for us in an adjudication..?
Are you staff familiar with the industry..?
And what are their backgrounds..?
How can you help with our Project work..?
How do you charge for your services..?
Most of the work we do is done remotely with meetings held online via Zoom or other similar platforms. This reduces our time which in turn reduces costs for you.
The same thing applies. Adjudication is a documents only process so all the work is done and shared via e-mail, dropbox etc with meetings held via Zoom.
Yes, all our consultants have a construction background. they generally began their careers in construction or engineering and later took additional legal qualifications, generally either a law degree or a post graduate qualification in law.
They usually have a background in the commercial teams in either construction or engineering companies. Our team are a real mixture, some from a traditional UK construction contracting background, whilst others have worked internationally on very large infrastructure projects whilst two more have a pure legal background, so we have a real mix of experience.
Our services can be tailored to suit your requirements exactly. So, for example, sometimes we just help our clients improve their processes and procedures, which helps their team become more efficient, but for other customers we might get involved in actual projects and provide the support services that they just don't have in house. If you would like to know more, just get in touch and we can discuss your requirements in more detail.
Wherever possible we prefer to quote for the services that we provide, this allows you to budget for the works and provides clarity. Unfortunately we cannot always work in this way and so we have to revert to our competitive hourly rate
